If you are Sammy for the day...

If you are Sammy for the day...

.....how would you approach this weekends game?

For me, I'd be tight at the back for the first 20 then go for it after the initial sparring has died down.

However, there will be those who would say that we go for it from the first whistle.

Whichever and whatever, let's hope the players do themselves, the club and the fans proud on the day.

It's going to be a nerve racking experience, one that it looks like I'm going to miss.   So it'll be Player and Ockers and Quinny for me....

I'm a 'from the off' person, especially when playing against a team who are low on confidence and under-achieving. Why let them grow in confidence? Also, playing for 0-0 after 20 minutes only leaves 70 minutes to win the game, and win the game we must. An early goal and their fans will be all over them like a rash.

I agree with Keith. Given our propensity towards wasteful finishing, we can ill afford to give ourselves 20 less minutes to score!

Personally, I'm struggling to be tight at the back approaching this weekend's game, it's that "nerve-racking"!

Seriously, I agree with Keith as well. Get at 'em from the start.... something I wish we did more, go for the early goal and kill them off. 8-)

I think we should definately just go for it. Shrewsbury have nothing to play for and if we can rattle them with an early goal or two I think they will struggle to come back. Giver them too much respect, play for the draw and we may end up losing 1.0.

Winning last week doesn't make this a 'must win' but a victory will put us firmly in the driving seat for the play-offs :D

Shrewsbury could have a weakened team with their loanees sidelined. Don't know if this would help us or not as they would play with more heart (no pun intended). Please don't sit back Sammy.

Go for it from the off

With the Shrimps fans backing, lets get the game won by halftime, then we can all enjoy the party

Just attack them they have lost all their direction . Simpson was there to take them up the leagues and they failed,so confidance will be at a low. Just go and batter them :x
