preparing to got to Wembley with Barnsley

Postby Arnside Red » Sun Apr 25, 2010 5:30 pm

via a brilliant 4-0 away win at Birmingham in the play off first leg, never been as scared in my life at a footy match, we were held in St Andrews for 1 1/2 hous at the end whilst rioting BC fans tried to break into the ground to gat at us, never been to there since, lost to Ipswich at Wembley as well, 2 vivits with Barnsly, lost both, twice with Morecambe, won both, heres hoping for the hat trick of wins there next month :)

I was living in Rheindahlen in Germany, my daughter had just been born and I was a season ticket holder at Borussia Moenchengladbach. Just in the process of leaving the Army to come home and start a new life back in Morecambe. The time passes very fast indeed.

6 months into a 4 year posting at the British Embassy in Riyadh.
That was the life.
Swish housing on a secure compund.
2 minutes walk from work.
Hours 8 until 3, then the bar, or the pool, or the tennis court.
Doris loved it, dressed up to her neck in a bin-bag every time she went off the compound
