Chesterfield ground update

Postby Christies Child » Sun Apr 18, 2010 3:17 pm

Anybody else missing their weekly 'fix' of Mike W's photos of the new Arena :?:

I'm getting withdrawl symptoms and resorting to checking out how the Chesterfield development is progressing. :P

Sad or what... :?:

Noticed the new Chesterfield stadium whilst passing on the train on the way back from Nottingham yesterday. Could only really see the roofs and floodlights beyond the adjacent Tesco store but it's not too far from the town centre. Could even look back and glimpse the floodlights of both old and new grounds at the same time. Wouldn't it be great if we could meet the Spireites in the play-off semi-finals? 8-)

We seem to be slightly ahead in terms of getting the pitch sorted as the gravel drainage bed was put in place at The Globe Arena last week.

Their stadium looks like a lot of others in my opinion.
