Half time entertainment...

Half time entertainment...

Postby Matty the Shrimp » Wed Apr 07, 2010 11:12 am

I really hope with a new stadium a new half time game is introduced, something fun and something that gets a few members of the crowd involoved every game!

Nothing against Ken and open the box but I don't know it just seems a little boring now...

Any ideas what we could do? :D

the only problem with that matty is time we only have a 15min halftime and look how long it takes for ken to get 1 member of the public to come forward never mind trying to get a few members involved
but i like your train of thought

Preston have good ideas, penalty shoot outs/scoring from one area to the other ala lonergan style kick. The open the box on the other hand is a great idea as noone wants to watch it so they all go to the bar and spend lots of money

I am sure it was Accy who used to or still have the cross bar challenge, 3 attempts to hit the bar

could have prizes such as half price entry voucher for next home game if you hit bar twice and 1 free ticket if you hit it 3 times out of 3 attempts or £10 if you hit bar once £50 twice £1000 3 times out of 3 attempts

Cross bar challenge or a penalty shootout against someone like scott davis would be good, fun for the crowd to watch as well :)

Why don't we have some kind of penalty shoot out where we can please both sets of supporters.
We have Morecambe fans V Visitors fans penalty shoot out or, a bit like on Soccer am, aim for the target. then we do a total at the end of the season and the winners get a trophy.
You advertise it on the away fans website or even forum say it cost lets say a 10er per team. Give them details of how to prepare and where to go (at half time) and it shouldn't take too long, the advantage is that the open the box can still go on because its a relatively short game.

It essentially becomes a season long competition between visiting clubs and our own fans, where the Morecambe fans team changes each week, and the away ones get there chance to step on the pitch. With Mark S' friendly banter and a show of unity between both sets of fans this can only enhance our reputation as a friendly club.

What happened to Ken's balls? Was it too confusing for people? It just seemed to fizzle out. Unless I missed something?

Well, I remember Rochdale had two mascots didn't they? Weren't they a fox and a rhino, I know they bullied Christie that day at Spotland. :(
