Sammy confirms previous interest in Ryan Lowe

On an earlier Sports Report on Radio Lancashire this afternoon, Sammy confirmed his liking of Ryan Lowe and that he did make an attempted approach for the striker during the close season as soon as he realised that he was available. Unfortunately he was too late with his approach and Lowe ended up at tonights opponents Bury.

Without wishing to sound pessmistic, unless there are reasons behind Lowe wanting a move, I think moving from Bury to Morecambe would be a step down.

I'm surprised that Sammy was interested. A lot of people mentioned Lowe on here, alongside Loz Wilson. However my unnderstanding was that Sammy understood he was a disruptive influence in the dressing room and wasn't interested in him.
