Final Points Tally?

Final Points Tally?

Postby Dragofly » Sun Feb 21, 2010 7:14 pm

Sporting Index currently set MFC final points total at 64-65.5. Last season we finished on 63. At the start of this season most Spreads set expected final points at 54.5-56. For the third year running MFC considerably out performed Market expectations.
With 1/3rd of the season still in play and 45 points up for grabs how many points do you think we will end up on?

Not that any game is a given, but the Grimsby and Torquay home games are ones we should be winning, although both could be fighting for thier lives. The Aldershot last game is one that we will no doubt pour everything into to ensure a good send off. After that we have some very tough away trips near the end at Bradford, Notts and Shrewsbury. The only way i can see us excelling here is if we are still in the playoff hunt which i doubt. Il go for 22 from the 45 which would leave us on 66, which although i would imagne would leave us short of the playoffs, would be a very good final total.

All guess work of course, but anything over 60 points would be a strong finish for me.
Automatic spots by the way i reckon will go to Rochdale, then as Bournmouth's squad is very thin, i think they will drop away.. Chesterfield on the other hand have strenghtened well recently and are my tip for a late surge. Rotherham, Bury or Notts is a tough call for the 3rd
