Negatives - plenty of easy chances put wide

Positives - good performance from Roche to keep us in it early on
Danny Adams' Ole football near the end

Negatives,
I think we have 2 or 3 better wingers / wide players than the ones who started today
    Woeful finishing
    Woeful referee
    Mullers and Jevvos pace

Positives
    Haining and Artell mostly excellent
Danny Adams looked like and played like Maradonna when he came on
2 or 3 excellent saves from Bazza
Lots of industry from midfield - Stanners and Drummy
    Jevvos football brain

positives

Mullin & Jevons is our best option upfront they complement each other

Wainwright's to say he's right footed his left-foot as improved so much and can now go either way round a fullback

oh and 3 points

negatives

subtitutions, when we was 2 up we could have rested some legs and brought fresh ones on

Positives -

1. Three points. Everything else is secondary really.
2. The strikeforce coming back into form.
3. Both wingers did well - pleasing to see some pace and trickery from Duffy - just needs more consistency. Wainwright was up for it as well.
4. The defending was reasonably good all in all.

Negatives -

1. Finishing was not great. Jevons missed a couple but you have to cut him some slack as he's just back from injury.
2. At times we lacked just that little bit of creativity. There were occasions where we played decent football to get the ball to the Darlington box but then ran out of ideas.

Overall, we may have to play better against Burton but this is a platform for the players to take confidence from and of course it's a fully deserved three points.

Positives Stanners and Drummy in great form in midfield.

Paul Mullins link up play with Phil Jevons. on another day Jevs would have scored a
hat-trick.

3 points to take us over 40 point mark.

negatives we should have scored 5 or 6 today. Chances have to be taken.

a poor attendance on a perfect day.

Use of todays sub was the right thing to do in most peoples eyes but we had 7 subs plus 4/5 others so how many of them are going to still be with us next season bearing in mind the non selection of them this season

let me explain my comment about substitutions

unless your not aware we have a match on Tuesday night

and Darlington with 15/20mins? to go did not have 2 goals in them to level it

so why not introduce Hunter Panther Twiss for some key players who SM will start on Tuesday

Yes we were comfortable with 20 mins to go but it wouldn't be the first time when in the same situation we have made 2/3 un-enforced changes late on, lost the initiative and gone on to lose the game. A couple of notable occasions when Harvey was manager spring to mind when he did exactly that and he took an absolute slating following the loss!

Sometimes it's a case of 'if it's not broke don't try and fix it'. We needed the points desperately yesterday and Darlington weren't completely out of it. Twenty minutes should neither be here nor there for a professional athlete, particularly in a game where the pace had gone out of it. Personally I think Sammy and Mark got it absolutely spot on!

Positives-

Efficient team performance throughout
Playing with 2 wingers and both threatening without the midfield becoming over-run
Number of chances created
Grizzly Adams returning from the Brazilian soccer school

Negatives-

Missing simple chances - Jevons could have had a hat trick
Wasteful dead-ball situations
Lack of atmosphere despite being 2-0 up and by far the better side
