Never mind.
Anyhow, as anyone who doesn't ignore my posts knows, me and Doris are off to Mynamar in just over a week.
It's taken a fair bit of planning, especially as Myanmar is a weird sort of place.
Not having a single ATM in the country is possibly the most biggest hurdle.
Closely followed by any card transactions (only in hotels) attracting up to 20% commission.
Everything is cash, and pristine mint condition US$100 dollar rule.
I've done all the organising so far, but thought I'd leave the easy bit to Doris.
We need (you have to over-estimate) about US$3,500.
So I told her to sort it out, US$3,300 in mint US$100 notes, and the rest in mint low denomination notes.
I got home from work yesterday, and she proudly gives me an envelope containing:
5 x US$100 (used and ironed to look good!)
24 x 50
55 x 20
58 x 10
14 x 5
50 x 1
Almost totally useless.
I'll get round it somehow.
But another lesson learned the hard way
