O/T BBC Weather reports

Postby Christies Child » Tue Jan 05, 2010 1:41 pm

Just been watching the latest weather report on the BEEB.

They mentioned the deep snow in the South West.

I've got news for them!

My brother in law lives in Weardale and rang this morning to tell us of 6' of snow outside...!

Last week they had to get the council to provide a snow plough to get him and his neighbours out and about. He fitted his car with snow chains and eventually managed to become mobile but today it's back to being blocked in again.

Just as well he bought some skis prior to Christmas. He's a feeling he may need them when the REAL bad weather arrives later this month and for the following 2 months as is usual in his part of the world.

Six hours sitting at a closed international airport... and counting!

(Okay it opened at 1pm but not for my flight)

David Cameron. May 4th 2015.
So how did that work out then?
