Christie Park under snow - piccies

Took advantage of being snowed out of work to nip down to Christie and take a couple of photos for posterity.

just this minute got back from the ground just having a chat to Chesh
not the easiest of walks with large parts very icey on lancaster road
The reserves game has been called off tomorrow night v Oldham Athletic
the problem fro the groundstaff is the snow will go rock hard with the freez tonight
this was the problem xmas day/boxing day and not having any covers for the pitch
i think we would need rain really to wash it all away

i see blackburn v villa has been called off tonight withthe dangerous conditions around the ground the concern

it will be very icey around the christie park ground in the morning so be careful if youre going to have a look
weather forecast is cold all week so i imagine it will be touch and go for saturday

fingers crossed

nice pics dave

have some included for the match programme saturday from mike williamson

Don't we have some that we use at the Christie Avenue end ?

£15K would buy a complete cover for the ground! Maybe a long term investment?

....as has the Manchester derby tomorrow night, presumably because it would be too difficult for all the United fans to travel up from the south of England....

Yes I always thought we had covers I am sure I remb helping remove them one year before a game and you often see them rolled up under the sponsor boards at the Christie Ave end.

in short NO[/quote]

NO we don't have any?
OR
NO we shouldn't invest?

If NO to Christie End, I seem to recall that we DID cover the ground at that end in the past.
