Statue on the New Christie Way

Postby Stanley Bowles » Sun Jan 03, 2010 1:52 pm

If they decide to put a statue up on the New Christie Way ,should it be a past present player or staff. It could be JB himself, or Rod Taylor they may think Eric has moved from the prom. Danny Carlton ,as it was his goal that put the Shrimps in The Football League Shirt Off arms a loft i can see it now. Put your ideas on sv ,it may come off. :D :D :D

When making these statues and spending 100K or more you have to be sure to get it right!

What about a statue of Christies Child for services to Shrimps Voices?

Hang on though better cancel the roof on the main stand if we're going to pay for all the metal required for that statue. ;)

Could make an interesting WATER feature, and if placed near the training ground it would eventually pay for its self

Sorted then. A junior Christies Child water feature fountain statue thingy next to the training pitch.

Less metal required and one of Christies life long ambitions to bring free water to the players fulfilled, whilst also honouring his not inconsiderable contributions to Shrimps Voices.

Great idea! Just stick it in the bushes with a pair of binoculars for total authenticity!

You may mock...but that bush and those binoculars have been great at providing a regular steam of pre-season training news about new players.

What would you do without it.....even more speculation :?: :?: :?:

I quite agree I do need some kind of recognition for my services to SVs. ;) ;) ;)

I suggest you consider giving it to ***pd***, he does enough of his own stirring ! ;) ;) ;)

I think a statue of a young CC would be appropriate.

It could be based on this picture of CC taken after his first Morecambe match.

Easy to see how I grew into the grumpy old git of today.

Just had to show it to my wife and daughter, who after rolling around on the floor with fits of laughter, would like to congratulate Mighty Red on his accuracy!
