Westgate Arena expansion given go ahead by local council. The local Pink Party Leader said "The Shrimps will need the 25,000 arena to cope with the expected crowds of the Premiership"

Morecambe Bay Independants fail again in latest attempt to gain funding for the Winter Gardens.Dame Evelyn Archer is quoted as saying its a sad day for Morecambe.
