Onwards and upwards, the progress continues

Onwards and upwards, the progress continues

Being the sad individual that I am, I like to look at the stats when it comes to the beautiful game. Our stats are when comparing last term to this a real indication of how well the club is moving forward and should hopefully give us cause for optimism.

last season : after 20 games - won 4 drawn 9 lost 7 goals for 20 against 28 (gd -8) position 17th.

This season: after 20 games - won 7 drawn 9 lost 4 goals for 34 against 30 (gd +4) position 10th

If that's not progression I don't know what is. And interesting that even though this year we seemed to be THE draw specialists of the division,it's actually the same as last year.

Anyway, can't wait for the next game. Happy days.

Those extra nine points would have put us firmly in the play offs! Six points off an automatic promotion at the moment.

So how did that work out then?

How you gonna have a dream come true?

I'd like to know what the state of play was at this time in our promotion year?

Better to be on the fringes at this time than in the top 3 for me. Too much pressure at this stage isn't ideal in my eyes. Let's make the promo places at the end of April.

Just shows how valuable those 9 draws were now. Its been the difference between knocking on the door of the play offs, or being in the pile at the bottom.SAMMY MACS BARMY ARMY :D :D :D :D

Yet we were conned at Torquay; should have beaten Hereford; and should have defended a 3 goal lead against Rochdale. Could just as easily been in a playoff place.
