Neither can he get the teams name right.

Calling them Notts Forest is just as bad as people calling us Shrimpers.

Forest 3 - Morecambe 1

I don't think we'll be underestimated like we were in the early rounds last year and we will be outclassed from the start.

However, if we come out of the blocks really fast and catch them out with an early goal we could just nick a win.

Either way I'm sure we'll out sing them! :D

I can see a comfortable Morecambe win like Wolves and Preston (when we were never in danger of losing)

If they play like they did against reading, we'll have no chance.

I think it will be a tall ask for us to repeat last season's amazing cup run. Forest won't under estimate us and we won't have the same 'surprise' element to us. They may be short of fire power up front due to injuries but even so they should be too strong for us. I think we will acount for ourselves well but they will be too strong. 3-1 to Forest in normal time.

So how did that work out then?

Exactly what I said, but in a different way, totally agree.

Unfortunately, teams are now aware of what we can do and therefore will show us the respect our achievements of last season deserve.

Therefore I honestly can't see us getting through. Final score 3-1 to the Forest.

But boy....wouldn't I take delight in being proved wrong!

If we go about things like we did Saturday @ Wycombe you never know , we looked fit and eager and we could give another championship team a 'bloody nose'. I don't know how serious Nottingham Forrest will take the match ?
Lets be optomistic 2-2 and we win on Pens. 8-) 8-)

I predict an early goal for Forest, we equalise just before half time and then score a winner around 10 minutes before the end.... just like we did at Wembley! :D

Nott'm Forest don't have a very good record in this competition over recent seasons. They lost to Stanley two season ago in the first round, and were knocked out by a poor Leicester side last season in the second after narrowly getting past Chester City on penalties in the first.

If you look at the squad they put out against Reading on Sunday they appear to be missing quite a few members of what I would class as the first team (the bench was made up from youngsters). With the injury problems they have I think they might field a weakened side on Wednesday night in an attempt to protect the better players for what I believe will be a tough Championship season. If they do, we will have a fair chance of upsetting the odds and adding another big scalp to the collection. C'mon the Shrimps, getting excited about this game now.

Anyway, who cares if we win, they sell Chicken Balti Pukka pies inside the ground! A reason in itself to make the trip.

Really looking forward to this. I am working in Nottingham the day after as well, so I am staying over. Anyone else hanging around for a couple of pints after the match?

I still have to pinch myself when I think that we are playing European Cup Winners Nottingham Forest on equal terms.

Happy Days.

Dont think we can get anything, but we didnt think we would at Preston or Wolves either did we?

I don't know how seriously they are going to take this competition. They played on Sunday against Reading and it was a 0-0 draw. This is there first game in The Championship and they will really want a win on Saturday and have less preperation then most other teams in there league. Also I think they might play a weakerish side because they want to focus on staying up.

Like I said before ~ 2-2 and win on pens.
