Can we improve?

Bit of a silly question really but can we improve by using other members of the current squad?

Sammy was raving about the work ethic yesterday. There will be times when work ethic isn't enough and that's when a player who does the unexpected comes into his own.

Loosing Thommo and CD has left us short of that type of player, or has it?

Once Carr gets accustomed to the pace of the league, will he be the player to do 'the unexpected' or is Sammy still in the market for that type of player, possibly using one of those missing from the squad yesterday as bate?

Well I have to agree with you. It is a bit of a silly question! at this stage of the season anyway!

surely the whole point of a squad is to provide cover for injuries, suspensions etc. and to provide other dimensions and options depending on the strength, weakness and style of the opposition.

It will be a good question eventually, but at least let's get one or two games under our belt first.

We haven't seen nearly the best from Howe or O'Carroll yet, these two could be our talismen this season.
