For those who may remember Former Shrimps Captain Jack Keen playing for Morecambe
He sadly passed away this week........
Jack was a legend up in Barrow and played nearly 300 games for Barrow in the 1940s & 1950s. Most famously for The Bluebirds he captained, and scored for, Barrow against the then Football League Division One champions, Wolverhampton Wanderers, in an FA Cup Third Round tie in January 1959.

Of course Jack signed for Morecambe in 1960 was an ever present from 1960 through to 1964.

He was captain in the 1961/62 and 1962/63 championship winning seasons with The Shrimps also winning the Lancashire Junior cup in both seasons.

Barrow are observing a minutes silence in his memory at this saturdays FA cup game v Eastleigh

I just thought ther emay well be some of you who will remember Jack playing or can pass this on to those who would have remembered him play

Thanks Sean
