best opening game

so here we are on the eve of another season in the FL just to pass the time what is the best opeing game to a season you have seen

Last season 0-0 v Barnet. Remember being stunned by the quality of the opposition's slick passing, how we managed to get a draw. Also the queues outside and the banner at the Umbro Stand. Memorable day.

100% agree with Aal, I doubt if anything else will ever come close, even if we reached the Premiership.


That banner was a fantastic touch, which just capped off an amazing event...

I agree, that game against Barnet, our friends, has to be my most memorable opening game.

My lad was mascot that day and I was allowed onto the pitch.

I got a picture of Jimbo seconds before he ran out onto the pitch as a captain of a Football League side for the first time, big Joe was in the background ducking under the roof

Great match, great day, and as it turned out a great week, or even thinking about Wolves, a great month

My brother-in-law (big Wolves fan) still hasn't spoken to me

but yeah i thought tht was the best match of last season barring PNE wolves and MK Dons at theirs
