Yes! It was actually a serious comment she has a fantastic football mind and it would throw the players completely out of their rather too cushy comfort zones, she has done wonders with the womens England team and I'm sure she has some amazing contacts aswell as her impressive accolades I would be very happy if Hope Powell was our next manager.

In a serious reply to the thread, There are many managers currentley unemployed who i would hate to see given the post should it become available. There are also some big names we could only dream of. A realistic name i would throw in, who i would love to see at CP would be Steve Cotterill. Last club was also based up here.

IF and it's a bloody big IF, then the club could look at somebody who I believe offered his services when JH was forced to relenquish the reigns....ex Blackpool temporary manager Stuart Metcalfe.

Steve Cotterill would be ideal but I can't see it somehow, if only for the fact that he could be reluctant to move North.

Anyhow it's all speculation......but if we loose next week and then loose in the first round of the Cup (I hope we don't face a non league team) the pressure on SMc and the Board would increase :?:

There is no way that we can start life in the new stadium other than a league club....even a struggling one!

Good shout but think he would want a club higher up the league. Wasn't he at Burnley & Sunderland so can't see been in the north aproblem.

How about Peter Taylor who got Wycombe promoted although he is very southern based.

He left Burnley in October 2007 and since then has been doing scouting and some media work I understand.

As for wanting a higher club, I'd bet he'd jump at the chance to resume his managerial career if only to use us as a stepping stone to better things, and if that were the case, he (or whoever) would only achieve that by being successful with us. It's a win win situation for both parties.

I've said before that November was judgement month. Ask me again after the FA Cup.

IF we face a non league team (please NO!) and we loose.....then others will be demanding a change.
