Parent Company yet another in administration :

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/money/articl ... -Inns.html

They must have received their new business rating like everyone else! My business rates have gone up by 43% for next year. Where do the Council/Government think businesses are going to get the money from?

Walking over Skerton Bridge into Lancaster last night there must be twice as many places boarded up as there are open for business. Just a quick calculation shows why the ones that are left are having to pay for the lost revenue from the others

Feel sorry for the residents of the new apartments who have to walk past this every day

Any pub showing Sky, which is charged by rateable value of the premises, must be considering pulling the plug :o ... had to sit through foreign satellite with radio 5 in the background for the 2nd half 8-)

yeah ive lost my job!

regent inns have been taken over by another company but they closed 9 of the least profitable places including 3 walkabouts, 5 jonlours and an old orleans.

im really quite gutted. i really enjoyed working there in the uni holidays and everyone who worked there put in a great effort and this news is a real slap in the face.

i feel really sorry for the 7 full time people 5 of which lived in the accomadation above. they have been given 10 days to find somewhere else to live

In that case sorry to bring the thread up  It's very sad how people like yourself suffer in these cases, then often the people at the top have the debt written off then start again under a different name. Good luck ;)
