Morecambe Player wrote:Mick, I'm not sure whether instant feedback on the player page is possible, that's one for Quinny, Posh or Ockers I should think. It is a good idea though and would make sense, although when you think about it, I'm not sure how many, if any other clubs try to be as interactive as us. Player is still in it's infancy for Morecambe so I'm sure there will be lots of testing of new ideas at some stage. As ever though, any suggestions are welcome.

Unfortunately its not possible for anyone associated with Morecambe FC to do any development work on Morecambe Player as the Player system is identical for all 78 clubs who use it. As a result all development work is undertaken by Perform Group who manage it on behalf of Football League Interactive. On Player there is a customer services email address and this should be used for any problems associated with the system. Perform have a full team working on match days. The Twitter / MSN suggestions are a great fallback and keep Sean and Lance alerted to any problems on match days. However they simply shouldn't be happening and hopefully the work undertaken has fixed any glitches.

As an exile who's far too hen-pecked  to get to many matches I reckon the Player is an absolute God send. I'll admit I was sceptical at first... I'd assumed the commentary would be amateurish nonsense with little or feel for the game or ability to convey the game in any great detail. After asking for a few recommendations on the Chat room I signed up and I was gladly met by what I can only describe as "amateurish genius" :D

If I'm round the house I'll have the player streaming through the laptop whilst I'm beaten into doing some DIY or cleaning the house. It's brilliant because I can at last find out what's going on at the match without having to wait for a match report or get second hand info via the Chat room... I barely even miss a beat when I'm vacuuming and we score a goal.

Well done lads!

Eeh i remember going back a few years when i was in my prime and the coaches arrived from Bradford full of yorkshire girls (im sure most of em used to work down the pits) and they parked up at the old outdoor market at Poulton. Used to pack the pubs down Queen St, Kings Arms etc then end up on the Pier, then usually underneath it at the end of the night, happy days haha
