Sack the manager and the players. If we can't win a match away against a team in good form with numerous injuries in our side, then the manager has taken us as far as he can.

Judge the team and management after 10/12matches the hard core shrimps have been saying ,well the games won and defensive mistakes tells its own story .But what about Sammy Macs mmistakes there have been plenty of them in team selection and substitutions the last straw being today 2 full backs on the bench ,Artell being run off his feet not tackling and no sub till half time . Goal given away in 47th minute game out of our reach and Moss and Mcstay kept on bench even Adams wouldnt have been able to stem the tide if he had played . Is it time for the knife foe Mac

i quite agree , using only one sub today is very questionable , when you go 3-0 down surely its only sense to change things around . He had the option to change things at the back or up front but to do nothing is ridiculous. looking back over the season so far its clear it is a recurring problem either not using subs or bringing them on too late . maybe the knife is a bit harsh for sammy but certainly he needs to look at his game plan.

listened to 1st half on radio and the number of chances we missed especially mullin and the final result shows we are going to be in for a relegation struggle this season.Very disappointing particular;ly as this is a stronger team than last year on paper

Sammy just been on Radio Lancs.

He said if we had taken our chances we would have won today.

Barry Roche could be out 4 to 5 weeks. Jevons had tonsillitis so should be back next week.

He said it was unlikely we would sign Craig Lindfield due to the wage bill.

This is a real killer blow at a time when we need any kind of win, Barry's presence has been the reason we've remained unbeaten for so long.
Too bigger boots for Scott to fill and a massive headache for Sammy and Mark to have to deal with.

I think we go to the next game against Torquay and then the game after that, where else are we going to go?

Barry being out is a big worry, however I think Scot will do us proud.

We just take each game as it comes and hope we turn a corner soon. once that win comes, so will the belief and confidence. Posh pointed out we were in a worst position at this point last year, however without clubs on minus points there isn't the safety cushion that we had last season so the sooner we turn that corner the better.

Keep the faith.

You can't expect a result against a top side away from home and it sounds like the scoreline flattered them.

We have Torquay next and then teams like Darlo and Lincoln. If we face these (with all respect to them) beatable teams and fail to register some wins, then we can really panic.

Why? are we signing a Jock goalkeeper?

And must mention Stanleys emphatic win today orchestrated by a manager with no resources, getting the best out of his players at the helm of a sinking ship, a serious contender for the Tranmere job me thinks and well deserved.

For those of you who didn't go today !!!!!!!
1st half performance on the whole was pretty good apart from the goal, WE were the better side, an own goal which Craig could do little about as he had to make contact with the ball. The plus side is we never gave up.

For those not being at the game it's difficult for anybody to give a factual assessment of the game.

However Quinny's excellent commentary as usual provided some clues as to what went wrong.

It sounded as though that old failing of not taken our chances when created has been the difference between the two sides. From listening to the game the number of crosses we put into their box with nobody advanced enough to capitalise on, sounds all too familiar and has been a constant failing of our play throughout this and last season as well.

Maybe it's the players who are not pressing enough or maybe it's down to tactics, but whatever it is it's costing us dear and needs to be rectified sooner rather than later.
