32 times he says 'you know' in 4.13 minutes.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/notts_county/8273403.stm

I know someone who says 'to be fair' every second sentence.

Dogword anyone?

Y'naa' a mean? (you know what I mean)

******

Plus - Teenagers now say 'like' every other word.

"Can I, like, have like a chicken panini?"

So I say "You can have a real one, they serve them."

"What?"

"Well, why order something that's only 'like' a panini when you can have a real one?"

"Wha' - doh, oh shurrup dad!"
Is the glass half full or half empty? Mmmm? hard to say - but it does look like there's room for more beer!

And pronounce every sentence as if it's a question

There is even a Director at my work that has started doing it. I want to shoot him.

I think that's technically known as Australian Question Intonation. At least, according to Stephen Fry and Room 101. And it's fucking annoying!

One i've started noticing is when people are finishing their sentences with the word 'so'.

Oh and youngsters from London who now seem to talk like they're from Jamaica rather than London. They're mainly found on the Jeremey Kyle Show.

Oh.... just a couple more.

One is from Clive Tyldesley.. he always pronounces 'another' as if it rhymes with 'bother' instead of 'mother'. He is the only person in the world I've ever heard do it and it bugs me intensely (though to be fair ;) I do like him as a commentator otherwise).

Also - and I think this is a fairly recent phenomenon - southerner TV types and players miss the 'all' sound out of the word 'footballer' so it comes out as 'foot-bler'.
What do they kick? A 'bl'?

As it's the end of the day I feel the need to mention one that often annoys me. In fact I just have.

Anyone else noticed that Rafa Benitez thinks there's a lot of quAlity in his squAd?

What I find really annoying are people who, instead of saying “Goodbye” or even “bye”, come out with “see you later” when they haven’t the slightest intension of doing so.

Getting back on track, all Scots speak English Keith. Fair enough it's usually hard to understand and fuelled by copious amounts of alcohol and heroin, but I still think you are being overly harsh. ;)

also why is it that when players get interviewed before or after a match the answer they give is nothing to do with the question that has just been put to them

What annoys me is people missing the "t" off the end of words. Inni.

My mother- brakefast for breakfast. The only person I have ever heard pronounce it that way. I can see the logic in that you are actually breaking a fast but still annoys the tits off me. I'm still too scared to mention it though....

  Is that in her best "phone" voice?

This thread reminds of the two Scouse kids talking in class
"How d'ya spell darrel?"
"ay?"
"I'm writing a story about a car, "darrel" doo two hundred mile an hour"
Friend laughs,
"Dats not darrel...Dats worrel"

I hate the "so not" crap, started by Roseanne Barr.

To be fair to the Jeremy Kyle show though, you need to know how to watch it.
If looked at as a great natural history documentary,it performs well,
It's always full of wild animals.
