I'm guessing he's now hawking his final draft around trying to get a publisher - and good luck to him, he seems a decent bloke.

This is an old story, of course.
Is the glass half full or half empty? Mmmm? hard to say - but it does look like there's room for more beer!

I wonder how he remembered the taste of each pie, to compare against the one he was tasting next.

At least we got te number one pies, must agree i'd go to CP just for my dinner even if there was no football on.

Hopefully there'll be more than just Potato & Meat on offer at the new stadium, A full range of Potts pies would be a welcome addition especially his new Chilli Steak ;)
Will Atkinsons have a Fish & chip shop there too in an outlet? Food glorious food!!!

I'm still not sure they were Potts Pies he ate although I'd be surprised if the pies served up at the non-canteen outlets were of a winning standard. "They also had Lancashire hotpot" - do/did we?

Ahhh..... more Daily Mail readers - we will soon be taking over the world ;)

Remember back in 2000 when I lobbied Total Football magazine to vote us "King Pie" with a Craven's offering - so we must be the only club to win two versions of the pie championship.

Daily Mail readers have already tried taking over the world. Twice in fact. The second attempt ended in 1945.

Oldham: Who made the pies that you used to moan about, saying they were too peppery for your taste buds?

Having sampled a lot of the food on offer at other football grounds I don't think this award is much of a contest. Most stadiums seem to be supplied by Pukka, and although I quite like a Chicken Balti Pie the pastry is all wrong and you don't get a crust.

Mate had what looked like Pea soup with his pie on Friday, although I can't say I've ever had a bad pie at our ground.

What do we do has there been a serious case of mistaken indentity!

Could Aunt Sally sue for Potts impersonating them and have they been getting extra custom from the publicity oh my word what a can of worms :o

I think we need to contact the man and ask him which catering outlet he visited and then produce a national press release just to confirm the matter. People rely on such information as the only reason they may come to CP is infact for the pies imagine if they got here and they didn't get an award winning pie think of the complaints

Well, Leighton James once tried one of the pie..........
