Is that the same Keith who was one of about 15 Morecambe fans who saw the last goal that Garry Hunter scored? You know, goal of the season at Grimsby??? 8-)

My 'jinx' season was two seasons ago, when I never saw us win. Last season it was the last game of the season before I saw us lose! I also witnessed Drummie's fantastic strike down at Aldershot so I think I was one of less than ten fans who saw both goals! ;)

Just in time to hear Ockers say, well the 2 keepers are walking towards the North stand and Davies walks towards the goal.
The rest is history 8-)
New chat room a bit slow from enter to display but good enough for me.
Is Friday an evening kick off.

I think the loss of Roach cost us the game - if this was to give Scot a run out I think it was the wrong time to try him. Gary Hunter had a good game and on the whole we played well and did no discrace ourselves- Twiss could have made it 3.1 but the rest is history............

It does appear to be a strange decision. If it was to give Scott a game, put him on from the start. Why use a sub like that? It wasn't a friendly!

On the other hand, if Barry picked up a knock, let's hope he'd fit for Friday.

According to Morecambe Player stats page, we had two shots on target to their thirteen! That looks pretty one-sided and it isn't how it came across on the err, commentary...

I think that's probably right - we appeared to get in some good attaking postions but again one pass too many or a poor cross in! Neil had a good game but their defender kept him a bay but Duffy had an average/poor game. Their Goaly could have cost them the game- Wayne nearly managed to sneak up on him and given his pace that takes some doing!!

thought McStay even in a short spell still showed he's our best right full-back.

and good to see a orthodox striker(Curtis) playing off the last defender making a nuisance of himself, hopefully on friday night Mullins will take care of that job

and i liked the 4 4 2 with a flat back four! we have the players now to play this formation, unlike last season when there wasn't the quality in midfield

Really should have kept Rochey on IMO...same old story though tbh of losing concentration in the final 10 minutes. There were a lot of encouraging points, though. We played some very good football and at times outclassed a side in the division above, and looked well in a conventional 4-4-2, but I'm going to guess Curtis, Twiss, Stanley and Hunter will be replaced by Mullin, Jevons, Craney and Panther on Friday night - a tough decision for Sammy and if that happens I hope they can play well enough with each other to give us our first win of the season!

Overall i think a good performance from what i would say was not the best squad avaliable.
Good passing and movement.. Curtis i thought had a very good game for us tonight and caused problems for them.I have too say Wainwright disappointed me and i think he let the side down.
Would like too have seen Wilson play on the Left wing instead and add someone else too left back. The loss of Roche cost us the match as the announcer said" Man of the match goes to Scott Davies.. The sponsers a keen Carlise fans" just proves that he had a bad game.. very "edgey" and his handling was not the best.. But again overall good performance.

Wainwright hasnt let anybody down, he's been a right winger most of his career, with the job of beating full-backs and getting first time crosses in with his RIGHT foot, i bet if you put Duffy there even he would'nt do much better

Just got back, quite pleased with the performance tonight. The only disappointment being that we couldn't close out the game or get the two goal cushion that would have killed the game off. Overall there are more positives than negatives, good to see some players lacking match fitness getting another game under their belts. Could have done with the money for the next round I suppose.

Garry Hunter was my MOTM with some meaty tackles and a well taken goal. He got on the end of a well worked move which ironically started with a quality tackle by Hunter in the midfield which broke up a Carlisle attack. He must be in contention to start on Friday. I thought Stanley also had a good game. The recent acquisition of Panther has resulted in our midfield having strength in depth in a number of roles, which gives Sammy a nice problem. Moss looked better than on the previous occasion I saw him, needs to get more vocal though. Bentley was done a couple of times by Carlisle's pacey striker, luckily he had no control over the ball at any point in the match and was withdrawn in the second half. I believe they have paid money for him.......

Dave Artell showed a momentary good touch tonight, which shocked me in a good way. He brought the ball down majestically, got it from under his feet, looked up for the hollywood pass, spotted the run before promptly putting his size 15s through the pig skin and sending it into the Main Stand. I think we have been guilty at times in the opening weeks of the season of overplaying, especially in defence. Clearly Moose brings us some balance in this department. He might as well play in wellington boots. He does his job though, still a very capable and dependable defender at this level.

Strange substitutions, hope they weren't forced upon Sammy.

I can not understand the psychology of taking Roach off when we are 1 up which does not happen often. IMO we handed them the intiative at half time. Please don't let Duffy - 3 misses in a row!! Think Bamby should get a start looked solid and pacy.
