Mullin Signs

Following on from who could be on their way...Stanners? Wayne on loan to Barrow? Hunter?
McStay? Even Drummy....remember we've also signed Haining on a 2 year deal which a lot seem to have forgotten!

Taking that line up from Dids and tweaking it a bit...

---------------------Roche-------------------

-----------Artell-----Bentley-----Adams--------

Duffy---------------Panther-------------Wilson

-----------Craney-------------Twiss---------

-----------------Mullin----Jevons--------------

Subs:- Davies, McStay, Hunter, Wainwright, Stanley, Curtis, Taylor.

Really hard to pick. This line up doesn't even allow Drummond a spot on the bench.

Well, we needed a target man so I guess Mullin will have to do. Should hopefully get the best out of Jevons now.

Not to sure about Wainwright. Not a big fan of him at all.

Hmm i think thats the thing now. The team is hard too pick, Which is good.
But personally mine would be.

I think that is one of the best teams we could put out. Obviously dependant on who we were to play. Such as if it was against fast defenders then i would have mullin upfront as the holding man.. Sounds weird but i think that would work with jevons alongside him. Him knocking it back to craney and then him linking with Jevons. Its all Mumbo Jumbo but you know.

A bit cramped in midfield/defence tho, and I even forgot Mr. Marsh!! :o

I had a teacher called Mr. Marsh. Lovely bloke, would probably put him in net to be honest!

Excellent signing. Mullin always seemed to too much of a handful against us and he is just the right piece of the jigsaw we have been looking for. All this nonsence about him being too old is rubbish. Don't think he ever relied on pace and he is probably still as strong as an ox!

I hope Sammy can work out his best eleven now and we can push-on up the league. Maybe time to loan-out a few to keep the wage bill down and to keep players fit.

So, who has a new chant for Mr Mullin? Can we still get away with singing "he's got the biggest forehead in the land"?

It's the other pic of PM with GH that I find difficult to comprehend!

He is still giving Furlong 5/6 years and he still seems to be scoring goal at this level. Somebody ones said age is just a number, being a good old bullyboy center forward, i for one don't want to see him back defending or deep collecting the ball. We need to play it to his stregnths and not expect him to be chasing long balls into the channels, play it to him let him hold it up and the others can do the running.

An excellent signing. Very exciting! Seems to me PM has always done well against us and is the type of player we need in and around the box. How the table has turned. Can't wait to play Accy now (or Carlisle or anyone else for that matter)! Along with IC, it's like the boot is now on the other foot (or boots on the other feet/shirt on the other back/badge on the other chest). I'll put my hat on/get my coat. Team selection, nice headache. Brilliant!!

Haining not fit yet and we need some pace at back.

Moss.........Drummy................Bentley............Wilson
Wainwright.......Panther ....... Craney...............Duff

Moss needs to prove himself as a right back as he cant play wing back he always seems to get caught out of position . With Drummy , Panther and Wainwright round him , he has no excuses .No point buying him and not using him , give him a chance ;)

Aye.

Until it became clear he was coming to us, so Accy didn't play him in their last couple of games, he was being picked every time and lasting the full 90 minutes. Others were substituted while he stayed on the pitch, clearly lasting the pace and playing well enough not to be brought off.

Missed eight games in nine years.

Good spot! I had to make it fit on the banner hence GH is taller and slimmer than in reality

The top of the picture is lopped off, so don't worry we won't get too wet tonight ;)
