Good news.

Sounds like a permanent deal but it doesn't say. And how long is the contract he has been given? Could someone maybe find out?

Welcome Paul......now go and prove me wrong by being the guy to provide PJ with the ammunition.

Genuinely...nothing would please me more. :)

Wonder who has / will be making way in order for us to progress with this deal as was suggested by Sammy?

Once again the Board have backed the manager, but he must be under a lot of pressure to deliver like never before.

This is a master-stroke whoever pulled this one off, Just the type of player we've needed and the goals should be far easier to come by once he gets intune with Craney once more.
This must feel like one of us seeing Twiss in an Accy shirt but the other way around :o
I know i'd be gutted seeing one of your best ever on the opposite side and especially when it's your local rivals.

I think it's a one-year deal but with an option to extend. Not sure of the details of that though.

Wonder if Twissy will switch to midfield? Hope he gets a chance to show he can work with Mullin and it's not just an automatic bench place for him, I think he's looked really sharp this season and should at least be given the chance to battle it out with Jevo for a place IMO.

Nice to have those options, though and I think this is a very good signing to add to a lot within the past few weeks.

Final piece of the jigsaw indeed in terms of being a target man, hope he can fit into the squad well, hope our wages aren't OTT now though.

I'll leave that kind of worry to the board.

I'm not certain but the feeling I get is that the talks the club had with the League after our embargo last season may have persuaded them to give us some leeway (ie we went along the lines of us being debt-free - when others who were still trading in players clearly weren't - and that our board was of such standing and commitment that if the salary budget became an issue for MFC they would be able to cover it by way of, say, cash injection or share issue).

Having said that, the directors run things properly and want the club to stand on its own feet as much as possible so they DO have a budget which is probably now at its limit. Sammy has said also that we would have to let a couple of players go to other clubs (either on loan or transferred) to ease the situation. The board could have been awkward and told him he couldn't sign Mullin until that had happened but the timing of these things don't always fall into place because of transfer windows etc.

Wouldn't be surprised to see a couple move on in coming weeks, though, if we can get takers.

We still need to tighten up our defence but atleast with Mullin's hold up play the ball won't be coming back at them as much, I can't wait for my night off on Friday to see the maestro in his new role ;)

It's improving. Jimbo's getting better every game, Adams is looking more like his usual reliable self and Arts has been very good last few games.

Panther sits in front of the back four and disrupts their play then is capable of surging forward to start attacks.

Moss has been up and down, making good tackles and taking the ball out of defence well, then just making the wrong decisions on other occasions.

Wilson is excellent, in a five at the back or in midfield.

Interesting to see how the choices between Mullin, Twiss and Jevons and also finding a role for Duffy or Wainwright develop in coming weeks.

Yep - I keep wanting to find a space just behind the front two for Duffy, but it means leaving someone out who just won't be left out....

Who'd be a manager?

That's the line-up I'd play against Carlisle.
