I think you'll find that's not how the league rules work Neil. Maybe the "End of an Era" badge should have had the dates 2007-2010 instead. (I'm being sarcasticaly fatalistic before anyone starts)
We need to earn the right to stay in this league, yes it's only August, and it's certainly not panic stations yet. From my viewpoint I've seen as many positives as negatives. We looked like promotion contenders at times against Hereford but have defended like the Keystone Cops pretty much all season. I like the look of Lauro Wilson and Manny Panther looked excellent yesterday. Barry Roach has frankly kept us in games on his own, not withstading the odd slip up, but he is a very good keeper. I like jevons and Crainey and Twissy has been at it for me, which is great to see.
My "problems" are simple ones. Jim (sorry mate) isn't fit. Danny is looking slower and slower and if Moss is a wing back then I'm the pope. Jevons looks too isolated and doesn't play with his back to goal that well. Basically, and it's only my opinion, we look disjointed and disconnected. last year we had some terrible injuries and out of the limited number of players we had left we (I mean Sammy of course) went for the 3-5-1-1 formation and let's be fair it worked an absolute treat. Now though he's sticking with the formation come hell or highwater and it isn't working. You don't pick the formation and then get the personnel to fit into it, you work out what personnel you've got and then pick the formation. There are a number of our players who are being exposed by our tactics, and personally I don't think it's their fault. It's not just individual errors or bad luck, and I don't think we can blame any of the refs so far, we look collectively poor going towards our own goal, and if you can't defend you're doomed, and I mean as a team. in our last 8 matches in all competitions we've conceded 25 goals.
Last term we didn't get a win till september and that turned out alright, the fat lady is neither singing nor even on the stage. I'd just like us to stop defending like her.

You obviously didn't go to the game last week. Craig Stanley consigned himself to the bench after a terrible game at Burton. He had a great game against his old club for the opening game when he was brought on, but Sammy's options have been and are limited by injuries (Gaz Hunter, Fraser) and finances. Manny Panther played a great game for us today and worked his proverbials off all over the park, well worthy of MOTM, but with 5 minutes to go I thought we needed Stanleys fresh legs and pace. Players have to compete and earn the shirt and make the best of chances when they've got them.
For 'the plan' players need to perform and Sammy to use squad players effectively to get goals, results and points in the bag. Still time to turn and make our luck.
What the hell can someone do in 5 mins , what a load of bollocks he might not even get a touch of the ball in that time . If your going to bring fresh legs on and use them effectively then they need to be on for at least 15 mins to have any sort of impact on the game .

Agree there Dave, I've forgotten which game it was last week, but did you see that sub that came on straight up for a corner and scored within 5 seconds
