This pic was taken in the second half, when some of the sponsors guests were spending money in JBs no doubt.

However it being only the second home game, I would have expected a better turn out from sponsors and invited guests.

I would envisage it will be hard this season to attract sponsors, irrespective of results on the field as money is tight throughout the business community. Our new Commercial Director has a hard act to follow without question.

Sponsors and fans can all watch the match live in both bars anyway, when we move they can all watch through the windows, if there is something worth watching, that is, I thought both teams today looked a bit poor, the pitch looks great, the weather was fine, the passing was crap by both teams, If we do not buck up fanwise will we have another embargo ?

it was only to be expected 2 teams with a small fan base and with the home team on a poor run of form i would have been supprised if it had been any higher

Hmmmmm. First match I've seen and I left feeling I'd wasted my hard earned money. I cannot believe how shocking we are defensively. A team of 11 Grannies could score against us with ease! A draw probably was a fair result but had Macclesfield won we'd couldn't really have complained. Of the new players, I thought Moss was utterly awful, Craney was frustrating, Jevons was largely anonymous, Wilson played well and Panther... Well, he outshone every other player by a country mile. Fully deserved his MOM award. There's little doubting the fact that we'll create chances this season but WHY THE F*** don't we get more men in the box? There must have been about 20 occasions today when a bit of urgency could have created chances but watching much of our team trying to get forward is a bit like watching other teams in slow motion. Sammy obviously knows that because he swore at the players several times for not getting forward often/quickly enough. Yet for some inexplicable reason, the message doesn't seem to be getting through. There were positives from today. Twiss' finish. Panther's performance. Wilson showing why he's rated so highly. But there were far more negatives and I left even more puzzled as to why a perfectly good defender in Henry McStay can't get a game.

Wasn't at the game yesterday but just seen the goals on the Football league show.

Although Moss let their man behind him easily for the 1st surley we could have closed him down earlier on he had a free run across the pitch.

I see the BBC sumariser still isn't impressed with our defence

I agree. The defence has been poor from the start of the season, yet Henry McStay just warms the bench. He may or may not be the answer, but the back line so far has been shambolic and Henry's past performances suggest he may improve things. Can't understand why he doesn't play some part at least.

First match for me too, although i think there was some good football at times BUT. As someone posted earlier we look lopsided as all the players were conjested into a small area. We were stood by the dug out in the second half and there was acres and acres of empty space down the right, Thommo would have had a field day . As you rightly say the lack of pace up front is a major problem and S.M was going ballistic. I think problem with Moss is that he seems to be in 2 minds , wheather he is a full back or wing back and Jevons is defo not a League 1 player, has no pace and poor ball control. What we needed yesterday was a 25 yr old Jim Mccluskie to get in the box and pressure their central defenders and get on the end of those wasted crosses. ;) . I dont think McStay is the answer as he might be a better defender but no good going forward , we got rid of pefectly good player in that position ;) .Overall we need some injection of pace(wonder if Usame Bolt can play footy ) all over the park and players need to back each other up more , no good passing a ball to somone then leaving him totally isolated with 3 opposition players round him.
We need some more Panthers in the team ;) Best player on the pitch .

WE didn't get rid of Yates...he refused a new contract to sign for his home town club that he's supported since a boy!

Moss was not the first choice but I've confidence in Jevons providing.....well you know the rest!

Oh for a Thommo....... :( :( :(

Thats a cruel photo Brian :?

The labels on the empty seats are for the sponsors. The Match Sponsors did'nt come back from the bar after half time, which is generally quite normal and personally, although not for me, I would say they've paid their money and are spending even more at the bar so leave them to it - I certainly would'nt expect them to sing 8-)

The lads behind us also preferred the comfort of the bar so thats another 6 empty seats and no singers!

And as for CC and his mates at the back what do you expect

The front 2 rows are Macclesfield Directors/people so we don't let them sing anyway.

Mr. MOOOORRRRRRRRRR-CAAAAAAAMMMMMMBBBBEEEEE took his new seat where the Steward sits and was soon moved along! - No wonder he's losing his voice

As for me I was in a daze and in any case I still had earache from standing next to the drum at Barnet ;)

NO! It was a fellow fan who has been away for a fortnight, asking for the score! He should by now have jumped out of the plane without a parachute
