bring back smoking in pubs

Postby mrpotatohead » Mon Aug 17, 2009 6:35 pm

My dad says he wishes they would bring back smoking in pubs, dad has never smoked, but likes a pint after work, he works with a bloke that chainsmokes, so if they get an early finish and he has a sly pint, my stepmom says, many in the dog then :?:

this is coz dad came home, not smelling of   fags

He also says that his drinking friend has become a nightmare since giving up, arguing etc coz he is all tense

Ive never smoked, but must admit smokers do have it hard, am sure they could allow smoking behind closed door rooms with air-conditioning filters, in public places shopping centers, airports, pubs etc etc

then it's doing nobody who dosnt smoke any harm

Roy Castle never smoked in his life but died of lung cancer which he got by playing in smoky clubs - it's a definite hit on the licencing trade but in time I think people will get used to it.

BTW - we have the most educated generation ever that are taught about the dangers of smoking and the related hazzards - but the young still smoke :?

It smells, and we smell after being near you smokers.

Didn't you say at the week-end you were giving up. For some reason or other ;)

I'll not spoil it for you Ben.

Nothing cool about seeing someone dying of lung cancer, perhaps if you had witnessed that as i have, you would think very carefully about the danger of smoking.

Of course dummies are'nt addictive. You're missing the point.
They are a soother, which by the sound of it is what you need from time to time.

I haven't missed anything, the point you were making is that giving up smoking is as easy as giving up sucking a dummy. Don't wriggle your way out because your original point was so pathetic and stupid. :?

Answer me this then-what on earth is the meaning of rolling up a piece of weed ,putting it in ones mouth;then setting fire to it.(ref. Bob newhart)?
I am told it is to relieve stress. IF YOU DID'NT START IN THE FIRST PLACE YOU WOULD'NT NEED TO SUCK YOUR DUMMY!!!!

David Cameron. May 4th 2015.
So how did that work out then?
