Ten conceded in two games. Can anyone remember that happening before?

If you add the last 3 games from last season we've conceded 21 goals in 6 games.

Duffy off, straight red for a two footed, late challenge. So a three match ban on top of everything else

Glad I'm going on holiday in a few hours then....

From the texts I've had from the game sounds like our defence is like a vampire... scared off crosses

.......................Burton............................Morecambe
Shots on target....11...................................6
Off target............6.....................................5
Corners...............3.....................................3
Red cards............0.....................................1(Duffy)
Fouls conceded....11....................................13

Some serious decisions by Sammy to be made here? A bloody disgrace to let so many goals in within 1 week in 3 games. I could accept it at Preston but Hereford and Burton with so many good players in our squad?

Here we go again, lets just let the team bond first time back four have played together as a unit so that will need time to gel also i cant comment on the game as i never went but lets remember the bad start we made last year and we finished really strong , sure sammy is aware he has a few problems and almost certain they will be put right through the week.... lets try stay positive and not do a norwich...3 games does not make a season guys so plan c is leave it to sammy he has proved so many times he knows best

I really think that we need to replace MaLachlan with a similar 'Makelele' -type player to hold the fort.

We really need someone in the 'engine-room' to protect the defence and break up opposition forwards.

We currently haven't got one and that makes us too open in midfield as our team is too attack minded & unbalanced

Fair enough, until you bear in mind Burton had nine new players in their side. I agree, it is too soon to be panicking but it is damn frustrating to start the season so badly again. Points thrown away last Saturday and gifted today.

Still... at least we're above the MIGHTY Bradford!

I agree totally Keith but its not time to start saying our defence is shoddy and slow and our manager has no idea anymore, frusrated is a huge understatement and although it is not a good start lets not get too critical, who knows midfield may not be doing enough or Barry may making the odd error too so its a team thing and i am sure as you probably are that they will be ok

Don,t think any body has actually said that!

I think Danny,s position has to be seriously looked at!He was fortunate to stay on against Hereford (Tackle from behind) and in giving the penalty away today,I (not having seen it myself) I would take bets that it was something to do with lack of speed!
Having said that I do not think that his footballing brain & passing accuracy can be discarded. He has to be played in a less vulnerable position!

But where? The only position would be in Frasers role but he hasn't got the speed but he does have the positional sence. A bit of a dilemma. Problems for Sammy to get sorted but that's what he's employed to do.

Listening to Sammy's interview it sounds like he'll be ringing in the changes once again, The only way you can have a good rearguard is to leave the same players in there till it clicks.
I think Jimbo and Haining are too much alike and this could have unsettled the new guy.
Remember 'Kempo'? he can defend and score at the other end :?

God help us when 'Free-scoring' Notts county come to town if Sammy hasn't got some stability restored at the back.

Oldham made -
No problem, 10 across the goal line with Roach in front of them!

I've said it before..........................The ONLY chance you have of winning any game is to stop the other team from scoring

I'd be playing 5 at the back until it's sorted and hope to hit on the break, a few 1-0 wins would restore confidence.
