Family tickets.

Postby Old Man Kensey » Sat Aug 08, 2009 5:45 pm

Family tickets were not on sale today in the club shop. To be given the answer that staff in the shop are not sure if the club are running them this season is simply pitiful. Come the first game of the season things like this should be in place. If the answer was a straight no fair enough but let people know in advance.

The football may have been good today, but in some ways the club still comes across as very 'non-league'.

HERE HERE

We never needed one , but the family of four turning up to find they needed to shell out an extra 12-14 quid would be hacked off

I was hacked off but paid the extra, wonder how many walked away?

Would be nice to know by the next home game if the club are doing the family ticket this season. Would've been even nicer to know before the season started!

I bought two tops for the kids and two pair of shorts. "Where are the socks?" I asked.
"We have'nt got any" was the reply
"When are you getting some?" was my next question
"I don't think we are" was the next reply

Those non-league days are still clinging on with a vengence :(

Sounds a bit of a balls up if these examples are correct

Well they didn't even have them for away fans. Would be totally unfair to do it for one set of fans only anyway. :x

Any thoughts from someone at the club about the return of the family ticket before the next home game?

If thats the case that its only for the away fans i think thats a disgrace, we get ripped off when we have to pay high prices when we go away

I agree about the poor marketing front end of the club.

I went to buy two shirts on Monday, and the shop was locked again! whilst we got out the car and went to the office other people drove in and straight out seeing a closed door.

Strange, but once the door was opened, other people also came in. I commented about the lost custom and the response was "it's ok, they'll comeback".

Some will, but some won't.

and here is our biggest problem the club take for granted that people like Brian, OMK etc will turn up week in week out. They don't however cater for the partime fan/glory hunters
They don't look at ways of attracting the new fans or making the part timers come more regular. They take for granted that we know when the games are and will come come back to the shop come what may.

The marketing side of the club is very second rate, and the "they will come back" smacks of ignorance !!!!!!!
