Encouraging and reassuring

Encouraging and reassuring

Postby Ned » Fri Aug 07, 2009 10:01 am

Encouraging and reassuring to see that Sammy has been conscious of the need to strengthen the defence and his last minute signing should hopefully calm a few concerns. I believe I can now look forward to taking my seat in the stand with renewed optimism. Also after listening to his recent radio interview I welcome his realistic assessment of the season ahead whereby he says hopefully we will still be a league club next season. I agree with him that the expectations of supporters are too high although I was under the impression it was Sammy himself who originally started all the talk of the team moving into division 1! I would be quite happy with a mid table finish.

I agree Ned. Fair play to Sammy for taking on board your feedback!

Don't forget to wear you rainbow wig and take care getting up the steps in those over sized shoes of yours! ;)

come on Ned, let's see your prediction so we can bow down to you at the end of season when you get it spot on unlike us rose tinted glasses wearers!

Then fair enough, we have to admit that he actually knows what he's talking about and we know bog-all. Trouble is, nailing jelly to the wall is easier than nailing Ned down to saying what he actually thinks will really happen.

Sometimes the glass is not half full but half empty. I agree with Ned about the need to stregnthen the defence particularly as Jim et al are 3 years older than when we got promoted. I think this years signings are much more likely to take us to the next level than last year- fingers crossed!!! Would like some quality cover for Jevons though!
