Like I said previously - and why I wasn't getting anxious about our new signings (or lack of) just as Nick tried out with us, not wanting to drop a division, there will have been others doing the same in League One and the Championship who will now be looking for places at clubs lower down.

Todd was quoted as saying:

"Chadwick and Bower, released by Hereford and Bradford respectively, had contrasting matches.

Bower showed why Todd has swooped and while Chadwick’s touch was disappointing, there was also an encouraging display from Arnison."

Makes you think doesn't it? The life of A.Trailist or an out of contract footballer can't be much fun.

Only a game or two to prove your worth, to win that contract and provide yourself with a livelihood for the next 1-2 years. Many of these guys no doubt with mortgages and families, what tremendous pressure is on them. These games are meaningless friendlies to everybody else but these guys must be playing under more pressure than those playing in the Champions League final!
