Looks as though Accy have dropped out of the running for their former loanee of last season. Could that mean that we are now favourites following earlier speculation that it was between ourselves and Accy?

one interesting ommission from the list of Accy players re-signing or agreeing to re-sign was Jimmy Ryan.

I'd love it , just love it if we signed him.

I work with a cousin of jimmy ryan who was on about him re-signing for stanley a while ago
but seems to be a bit more tight lipped of late. Not saying he's coming here or we've had
any contact, but he seems to know more than he's letting on ;)

Charnock's a good player but is a centre-back (which we're not looking for) and has been on decent money. We wouldn't bust a gut to get him.
I said a while ago when everyone was assuming that 'agreed a new deal' meant he was staying at Accy that it wasn't definitely the case.
Not sure we're in for him but I doubt he'll remain at Accy unless something changes there - we won't be the only ones interested if we're tracking him.
Is the glass half full or half empty? Mmmm? hard to say - but it does look like there's room for more beer!

Deal with Jimmy Ryan agreed. doesn't say signed. This has been known for weeks.

Aye. Not being picky but this report doesn't say he's signed.

It reads like he probably will, granted, but a lot of players agree new deals long before they actually sign them. And we hear all the time of players who leave clubs, then their managers say things like 'it came as a surprise because we'd agreed a new contract with him'.

As I say this new confirmation - coming as it does after all the recent shuffling about - would tend to suggest they've sorted a lot of things out at the club and these lads will probably now stay. But it's not signed until it's.... well, signed.

The date of the article was last Wednesday so he should have played for someone last Saturday.
