Cobblers! From the outset he said he went to Milan to keep his hopes of playing for England alive. For Donovan to question the professionalism of probably the most professional England player at the moment is almost laughable. Who would ANY pro footballer prefer to play for, Milan or Galaxy?
And, while I'm still on the horse, Galaxy had to agree to the loan for it to happen.

Why should the fans of LA Galaxy give a kipper about Beckham playing for England? It's Beckham's selfishness that has earned him this reaction from the fans.

If we'd signed Joe Lewis, and he wanted to go on loan to Man Utd for a couple of months to improve his England chances, I wouldn't be impressed with that, and this situation is exactly the same.

Beckham may have been professional to maximise his chance with the national team, but showed a lack of professionalism (and respect IMO) to his club side.

Interesting situation - I wonder how many of the fans berating him for leaving 'their' team only starting watching them when he joined? Not sure either way but it would be interesting to know.

Ive allways spoke up for David Beckham, he's been such a good role model & professional for football for years now



but i think he got this one wrong, but i can see his point of view when Galaxy came in for him, he thought it was the end of his England Career until a certain former Boss of his became the now England Manager

Totally agree, and he could be forgiven for thinking that when Capello came in, he hardly treated Beckham brilliantly at Madrid.

...and as I said, Galaxy had to agree to the loan. But that bunch of short-sighted muppets don't see that bit. No, it's all down to beckham, the one who has raised more money for Galaxy than the rest of the bteam put together, the one who has got them the most publicity and got bodies through the gamtes. If Joe had wanted that, then I would be aorry to see him go, but how can you not want someone to play for their country? Bloody ridiculous.

It's looking favourite that he will go back to play in Italy probably in Milan where the best shopping is, but it is rumoured that he may chance the Kings Road? Can't see Victoria accepting B&M bargains in White Hart Lane, eh Glen
