not many positives from this game unlike the Burnley game apart from Hudson who looks worth a contract, and another new Trialist Sean Doherty a left winger id like another look at, very similar in the Duffy mould small but quick he came on in the 2nd half playing on the right-wing, but id like a look at him on the left-wing his preferred position

we really need to tighten up especially at the back after today's performance, we let them through far more times than was merited. Duffy looked very good though and looks to have improved his defensive play - could he be better in the rwb role than he showed last season? We need to have numbers in the middle of the park and thats why 532/352 works so well for us. Kendal and plymouth are the last friendlies i can see before i go on my jollies so i hope i can get a good all round performance before hereford.

Doesnt really matter what format you play you have to have the players that can do it, pretty poor today.

I've had stick previously for defending Rene Howe but I'd happily swap any three of the strikers we've had on show pre-season to have someone like him back.

He's the only one who could occupy TWO defenders all afternoon and, therefore, make opposition defences play ten yards further back. He'd give Duffy the space to play in and around the penalty box which is where we need to try to get him this season.

Chadwick hasn't shown me any more than I'd expect Twissy or Wayne to show and -as they are both still under contract - I can't see what we'd be gaining by giving him a contract. Larkin I'd like to have another look at but if he's not fit there's not much time.

Elsewhere on the pitch I think we'll be okay but the ball will just keep coming back to us unless we can get someone to give their defenders more to think about.

It was really dire today and quite worrying that so many "first choices" are sidelined at this point of this pre-season. Any news on Drummy, Gary H and Wayne, are they injured or away? What's happened with Larkin? I was really impressed with him on Tuesday.
