If it's in your pocket that doesn't count as a catch, does it? I seem to remember a certain Mark Mace during games at Morecambe High when we were playing cricket make a catch (and being the cocky git that he could be back then ), in one motion caught the ball then immediately stuck it in his pocket with a big grin on his face. Alan Alker gave the batsman "not out" because (he said) technically Macey had 'dropped' the ball.
Any cricket spods out there know if that is right or not. Do you remember that Macey?
