Nice one, Dave.

Nice to hear from someone who wants to play for Morecambe and appreciates what we're about. Hope Larry does really well with us after some of us really backed his signing.

Well done to our manager and board for impressing him enough and sorting out his deal so smoothly and professionally.

So Dave Artell got him a trial or we we already looking at him?

Once he got into the game and picked up some confidence he seemed to be getting some balls in and looked good. Duffy went over to the right to cover Moss leaving Wilson to press on more as a wing back and I think he looked better then.

Maybe Arts had a hand in Hudson coming as well (Rotherham connections) - though I think Sammy has had his eye on him for a while, seem to remember him mentioning him before.

EDIT - just heard from Arts that Danny Adams put a word in for Hudson. Sammy knows all about him though.

All in all a very interesting night and shows that A) some players DO actually want to come and play for us and B) our manager and board are not as slow off the mark as some people like to suggest.

It's the first time I've ever heard of an MFC manager take the soundings of his charges and give recommended players a trial.

Credit to Sammy.

Anybody know who was our physio tonight?

Artell & Adams the clubs new scouting network :D

I would have thought Sammy would have been onto Wilson along time ago as soon as Chester went down, it's a good job Arts had a word or we could have missed out.

I think it may have been more a case of Arts reassuring Wilson that ours was a decent club to be at. Wilson's agent will have touted him around to anyone suitable after he was released so, even if he wasn't before, Sammy will have been well aware of his availability.

listening to that interview you could be forgiven for thinking we had signed steven gerrard :L sounds just like him, nice to see a player who wants to play for the club who has experience and is still only young! great buy from sammy this certainly wasn't a 'keep the fans happy' signing he looks a good player.
