Come on Victor, even for you that's a bit unfair to mention me in the same context as Simply Nob....sorry Ned! :o :o :o

Well, two of your recent posts create an impression of complete unprofessionalism at the club, so if the cap fits.

Ned after standing outside the club shop for half an hour (or however long it was :?: ) did you not think of phoning the club up personally and asking them why the club shop was not open?
I'm sure someone would have been in the office's at some point at the time. If not, stroll on home and give them a ring at a later time.

I'm pretty sure if you contacted the club, explained that you were at the club shop waiting for a long time for it to open to no avail, they would have been very appologetic, understanding, and would have happliy accomodated your's and anyone elses needs to your satisfaction. You may have even got a freebee out of it as a gesture.

It always seem's to me that you run to shrimpsvoices straight away to slate how the club is run at the earliest opportunity before stopping and thinking what actually might have been the best apporach!

the start of this topic could have been totally different. Ned you could have said:

"I wen't down to the club shop today and it was closed at 9am when it was suposed to be open. After waiting for over half an hour, other waiting customers and myself were fed up and went home. Upon my arrival home, I declded to ring the club direct and discover what the problem was. The club explained that it was a one off problem and were very appologetic. Offered something in compensation for your wasted journey and everything was resolved and I was pleasently pleased with what great customer service I recieved!"

Unfortunatly we all know Ned that you would never go down that path!

I'm pretty sure (in the last few seasons at least) the club shop has opened during the week, saturday mornings on a match day and in the evening on a match day only (correct me if I am wrong)

As said previously it is not the decision of those who work in there to decide when it is open so "Whoever works in the club shop- resign now" is more than a little harsh, in fact out of order, i know you like to get peoples backs up but that is just targeting and trying to embarass someone who actually works very hard and is more than accomodating! And every one gets sick- it's just bad luck you came to the shop in the hour that services were affected.

I agree there should perhaps be weekend opening times but there is only one person that works full time in that shop (one more does helps out on match days) and one can only work so many hours. Okay another could be employed but again this is not the decision of the shop employee!

Wouldn't it make more sens to close 1 day during the week and open on a Saturday? That way, there wouldn't be any net increase in hours but the shop would be open on a busiest shopping day of the week.
