Team against Lancaster

Postby Heysham_Shrimp » Sun Jul 27, 2008 5:39 pm

What sort of team will Sammy put out against them on t'wrong side of the Lune?

I would like to see a strong team go over and administer a thrashing but I am expecting a team of triallists new-comers and squad players along the lines of :-

Davies
McCann McStay Parrish Howard
Wiles Hunter Drummond Curtis
Taylor Blinkhorn

Come to think of it , that team could probably thrash them !

Don't think you will be too far out there, possibly Paul Lloyd and Mathew Bell, and maybe another chance for Jonathan Smith.

YOU BET THERE IS A SUPRISE.

THERE IS GRASS ON THE PITCH AT GIANT AXE.

Now i know what you're thinking but its not a joke i have seen it with my own eyes, i was working in Lancaster the other day and made a slight diversion to check out the pitch.

So unless you want to miss this rare phenomenon its best to get yourself down to the axe on Tuesday night.

After all it only occurs about as often as Haley's comet or George W Bush attending a peace conference.

The swamp that was the centre piece of the pitch has been removed by a former owner allegedly, along with the Carling sponsorship to be installed at Neverland when he buys it of Jackson allegedly. :D

..being serious for a moment, this game in the past has resulted in a few nasty injuries. I hope that both managers order their charges NOT to treat it as the War of the Lune.

The Barrow v Kendal game has seen one too many serious injury within the last few days.

One that gets there before 7:45pm?

19:05 gets in at 19:18 and you can get the 21:45 back. Make sure you don't miss it though, the next one is 22:57.

It appears that Barrow had reason to complain about the attitude of City players during their recent pre-season game. Too many mis-timed tackles which the local referee let go.

As a League club, can we expect a certain level of refereeing or wil it be just a local ref?

Worried?

Can I assume that kick off is at 745pm. The City website has no kick off time and our website has no mention that I can find of the game taking place at all !! (except on here) :?

I'm taking the A4 via the A6 and M6, leaving Storth at 18.30 ETA 19.00
Might even get a 15 with 62 before the game.

I'm not sure how to take this reply......

Is it a genuine concern like mine about our players safety or are you taking the *iss?
