They did'nt receive a penny from Darlo while Danny was playing for them :twisted:

That suggests that DC would have been on a salary of around £60K a year assuming that it's 100% of salary for the close season.

This indicates the sorts of salaries we would/will have to pay out for players better then DC who with all due respect isn't exactly the 20 goals a season man.

Err CC get your calculator out again. The £20K owed is Darlos contribution towards his wages for an 18 week period. So for the year you are estimating it would be a total of £60K "towards" his wages. All depends on how much Carlisle paid on top :roll:

.....which makes his salary even more ridiculous for somebody who could not be classed as a top striker. No way could we even consider to compete on that scale BUT it begs the question how much were we paying for his stint with us which could have been extended.....????

Certainly throws even more light on the difficulty Sammy has in attracting experienced players.

When he played for Morecambe at wembleyand the play offs he was out of contract and only received app money and a shared bonus

I do not think it is fair to insinuate that the man who took us into the football league is worth less than a grand a week less tax and national insurance, cowboy window cleaners are earning that in cash!!!

Most contracts end June 30th.
