O/T Summer jobs

Postby quinny » Sun Jul 12, 2009 12:40 pm

Sorry about the non football related topic but my son is now home for the summer from university and I was wondering if anyone knows of any part time jobs going for the next few months.
He will put his hand to anything. I've had a look round the usual places but no luck.
If anyone has any ideas could they please PM me.
Thanks a lot.

Cant be true . :o

I would have thought that Saturday would be the bussist day of the week for a club shop. You would probably get a few away fans in there too for memorabillia etc.

But not on a Saturday pre season when people want to buy shirts and gear for the upcoming season.

I think the club is missing out by not opening the shop for a few hours on a saturday at least.

I was looking for a part time job whilst at school too but there was bugger all out there. Or if there was, you didn't hear back from anyone if you didn't have experience.

You could maybe get a job selling tickets for Kens balls (whatever its called these days). Or selling the shrimps lotto scratchcards door to door- they seem to need people for that. http://www.morecambefc.com/page/Scratch ... 51,00.html

Re. shops you would expect to be open on a Saturday - I know a bicycle shop that opens Tuesday to Friday can you believe?? Surely a Saturday is such an obvious day to open. If you are listening, people do ride their bikes on Saturdays and need repairs sorting out etc.etc. PLEASE OPEN UP!

I'm doing an electricians course at college, I sent 10 letters to 10 different companys asking if they were taking on an apprentice and I got no reply from any of them, not even saying they weren't taking on. Stuff em' !!

I'm doing an apprenticeship but it took a lot of work to find.
Try finding a training provider who help look for a placement for you - they usually have good contacts and know who to go to.

Training 2000 are pretty decent afaik and do electrical engineering programmes. I went with a different provider in the end but I signed up with them when looking for employment too.
