the pitchers usually only play about 6 of the 9 innings and only in a couple of the games the team will play a week so fitness wise baseballs not the best, they do spend a ridiculous amount of time on the road though!

i'm lead to believe fast bowlers in cricket sprint about a mile a day of play because of their run up!

as much as people will laugh there is a point about golfers to a certain point. They must walk 8 mile + a day and that's without all the practice range stuff. These old boys like Nicholas etc it must keep them in good shape. If I play 18 holes and walk 6/7 miles I am knakered never mind doing it 4 days in a row. Then your tee of time could be at 9am and you have to be up at 5/6am for practice etc every day depending on the draw.

fair enough they wont be entering the marathon but it's a fair old trek for some of them.

hmm... too similar to be a coincidence. Come back in 12 months time, eh Claret Ste?

So how did that work out then?
