I deserve to be in the Championship for what I know and what I've done. Do I want to be in the Conference? No

I don't speak ill of many people, but I'm so bloody glad the wheels have come off Mark Wright's bike......just a pity that it wasn't a tandem then SV would have been a casualty as well......possibly?

He's not done anything spectacular in his managerial career, he's won 1 promotion in 8 years. The clubs he's been at Oxford, Chester and Peterborough are far bigger than ours so it shows how good Sammy Mc, but also Jim Harvey are. Jim Harvey is a far better manager than MW but has yet to manage in the league.

That's something that I'd totally agree with.

However the chances of JH managing at FL level are diminishing by the day as it's only the (un)proven ex-managers and 'named ex players' who seem to get the chance these days.

Some would ask the question that had we not changed when we had, would we now be in the league? We'll never know but even I ask that question many times.

Can't believe nobody has jumped on this. Chester are certainly not bigger than us im afraid, the size of the place yes but the football club no chance.

Perhaps not at this present moment but over history they are. We have been the bigger club recently and will be in years to come but at the time MW was at the club with players such Daryl Claire and some bloke called Twiss, they were bigger in my opinion.

Chester appoint a new manager. Considering all the "names" that were in the hat this seems a surprise appointment

Perhaps more of a yes man than a manager? Like you say Marky, with some of the names branded around, it is a strange one.

Difference between having their names banded about and genuinely being interested in the job! Many wouldn't touch Chester under Vaughn with someone else's bargepole!

So how did that work out then?

Very true and is probably the case. Like I said in my post, Vaughan has probably hired a yes man.
