“Britain faces a simple and inescapable choice - stability and strong Government with me, or chaos with Ed Miliband: ".

David Cameron. May 4th 2015.
So how did that work out then?

I am very sorry for the guy however I was never a fan. He lived a very sad life and was ruined by his success. I await the conspiracy theories that will begin tomorrow. His death will touch the hearts of his fans and I am sure there will be public grief. I still grieve for Marc Bolan from T Rex and I was only five when he died.

Too much too soon.

Early stuff still some of the best pop/soul stuff ever.

Yes he was a true music legend and his death will be on a par with Elvis.

Very sad news about Michael Jackson , but equally sad is the loss of Farah Fawcett after a long battle with cancer .I'm sure i am not the only one to have drooled over her as a young lad. R.I.P

Apparently they are going to melt down his body to make toys. This is so the kids can play with him for a change.

Whats the difference between Newcastle & Michael Jackson? Nothing. They're both black & white and going under.

I wouldn't go that far I think Elvis & Freddy Mercury are in a class of their own.

Similar to Elvis he was a tragic hero.

And to all those saying they don't care and they didn't like him: I look forward to seeing your inner-hypocrite come out next time you're on the town and start raving it up to Billie Jean/I Want You Back/Thriller/Bad/Beat It etc.

This is a good article on Chris Evan's blog about the two sides to Jacko shows that a lot of what we was just a big act.

"Met him when I was working on The Brits one year - the Jarvis Cocker mooning year. Some of the artists have to work through the night because the rehearsals take so long and this year he was one of them.
It was 2am at Earls Court on the main stage - a closed set so very few people were allowed access.

I was (just about) and what I saw was not some goofball with a hanky tied around his mouth, but a guy in jeans and a green t-shirt totally at ease with himself and all those around him, busy putting the kids through their paces of a complicated dance routine. He led by example and made them gasp open mouthed with the way he moved whenever he showed them how to do something, laughing and joking with them to get his point across like all the best teachers.
Was this the same guy who had arrived moments earlier amidst all the usual madness ? Not for a second. There was definitely a game being played here, and he was the one in the driving seat.

The next night when Bob Geldof came on to introduce him as he had requested, Bob had been told specifically he had to use the term King of Pop otherwise there would be a no show - back to the madness.
When Jacko came on to accept his "special award" he did his usual squeaky - I'm so shy I don't know what to do act - presumably because he thought this is what we wanted. If only he felt the world could have seen him as he was the evening before"

That is probably the most sickest post I've ever read.

For my money you should be baned from ever taking part in SV's in the future.

Over to you mods.

Oh, CC. You do make me laugh sometimes. If the mods are gonna start banning people for posting jokes about Michael Jackson then maybe they should start banning people for excessive opening of pointless threads?

Where do you draw the line? Should they ban users that post best wishes with your retirement messages 6 months before they retire? No one had to ask for that to be zapped.

The jokes repeated on here are extremely clean compared to the ones I've heard which don't just include Jacko.

A very poor comparison.

The joke about 'toys' is sick. If you find that funny....
