O/T Let us Rejoice MBI Romp Home

Postby Jumping Jack Flash38 » Tue Jun 09, 2009 6:55 pm

This is a week to celebrate. The Morecambe Bay Independent partry are well and trully in control of the political stage in Morecambe. They are popular and have proved to the electors in Morecambe have recognised the value for money they receive from thier MBI Councillors.
We will never see the end of the MBI beasue they are non political and none of thier Councillors have any hidden agendas. Anybody going into politics today should join the Morecambe Bay Independent Party or give us your support, we need donations in order to fund our newsletters.
What is encouraging is that most of the buisness community in Morecambe support the M.B.I and it seems that even our M.P does, she has always been very frinedly towards us--although she is aware of where the votes are.
The Morecambe Bay Independent Party along with thier colleges on The Town Council will make a significant difference to Morecambe as well as the quality of life for the hard working famalies.

Keep 'em coming Jack. I can't decide which is funnier, your claims how popular they are (78% didn't vote for them) or your spelling   Most people often make speeling mistakes but no one is so consistent as you, or are you ockers in disguise

I'm looking forward to the next 2 years, the MBIs have put themselves high on a pedestal and the only way is down. In 2 years time I'll be looking at their (lack of) achievements and challenging the likes of Archer and Ashworth to prove what they've done couldn't have been done by (a cheaper) city council. That's if the ignorant councillors bother to reply to me.

There aren't that many political threads compared to other O/T subjects, you'll find far more of CC's camera, computer, email and broadband don't work threads. The ones I start, I try to make it obvious what they are so anyone not interested can ignore them.

It's a good job she wont be our MP in 12 months time then.

I love the political debates on here.
They're funny and I spend many hours laughing at the 8-9 page ones.

The Local mp fully backs the MBI

She also backs brown, as one of the few labour women that does, she might weasle her way in to the cabinet for the remainder of his unelected short term in office, and when she loses her seat she can retire to the seaside and, err, i dunno, maybe become a morecambe parish councillor

The big political thread we had was great but this is getting to be a party political broadcast forum for some members on this forum who have probably not even been to CP. Threads about the local goings on are great and I'll join in but it's getting boring now. Elections over, no one likes the MBI, can we just go back to moaning about the lack of transfers, no season tickets or shirts on sale and CC starting 5 new topics a day? ;)

Perhaps create a separate forum under the Links section.

I hate these threads. Keith loves them. I would happily create a seperate section.

I would happily move stuff in there that was posted on the main forum.

Lobby your local(ish) Admin and tell him what you think. Its your forum.

And Keith comes up with very credible postings.

Indeed, please do. I model myself on the MBI's, which means I will ask for feedback, then acclaim all those who agree with my dictatorship and ignore those who oppose it...

Yeah, not a fan of the political stuff either tbh. What started out as remotely interesting topic quickly turned into a soapbox for members with close links to the local political scene. Clearly the Visitor letters page is not enough for some blancmanges these days.
