That really doesn't mean the sale is any closer does it?

I think the issue is Hodgie that the BOD have giving us little bits each time fans start to question them or the club, I personally feel, although I will also be shot down for saying this that BOD have gotten away lightly for some of the things that have happened. the BOD will always have their loyal support, a bit like no one can be honest about the trust without being shot down on here but lets be honest we as Fans have been more than patent with the sale and the lack of action from the Trust

i respect the work the trust does, but feel they could of handled the vote and made more awareness to members on social media about the #NAPM

i know every member would of got emailed, but not everybody reads their emails, and a lot would of been missed.

I think alot of us have lost faith in the Trust due to their lack of action, what's the point in answering as nothing has changed in the past, too close to the BOD

The BOD can only tell supporters news when they know any

Pointless them keep saying the same thing

Just 987 days for us.
Jason Whittingham doesn't have the ability to sell the club.

And I still won't believe that DA will get his budget until it's actually been handed over to the club. It's easy for Jason to 'agree' a budget. It wouldn't be the first time that DA isn't given his 'ageed' budget!

I think that’s the point - the Reading sale has taken an absolute age but still half the time that ours has taken (and with ours still not having concluded)!

The authorities need powers to give prospective buyers a time window and if they can’t pass the tests and purchase the club during that window, their application gets thrown out and can’t be reconsidered for say another 2 years.

I said that and I posted about this on another topic. I also contacted the EFL suggesting a time window, I got back a reply with a lot of corporate spiel about business law and some take overs just naturally take time etc etc.

My interpretation was because the EFL is effectively run by owners and their representatives on the Board of Directors they are not going to dish on others. That is the drawback of the of custodianship of the game with it being run by the EFL, it’s like a self regulating body instead of being independent.

We all know that through sheer greed and pretenders being involved our ownership has taken far too long. But if everything was straight and on the level how long should this sort of process take ?

Our last change of ownership took less than a month - and that would have been quicker if the Trust weren’t involved and had to take time to canvass the membership on taking up a stake in the club. That was at National League level but I know people who have been through the EFL fit and proper test and it is a formality - if you are fit and proper, that is.

Why aren't our local media questioning wtf is going on?
Beyond Radio / Radio Accrington should be putting pressure on Jason every day.
Don't get me started on our local council.
They don't understand what Morecambe fc brings to the town.

Back to my favourite phrase, it's only a Ltd company. If it weren't a football club, the sale could have happened long ago and have folded by now. At least the EFL are holding it up to some inquiry and approval.

So forgive me if I’m wrong but from that I would say you have no faith in Panjab Warriors, or was you referring to Sabjot the drinks(not) man? Or both??

Quite frankly how can you have faith in any of them, now and again they pop up when challenged directly in the media, but it's not getting us anywhere is it.

Beyond a joke how a community for the area, albeit a Ltd Company, can be treated by absent owners and potential buyers who have no understanding or heart in the Football Club

Exactly as Dave says. This isn't the EFL holding things up, just for the hell of it. If everything was above-board and transparent, the sale process would be a matter of weeks. Wigan was sold in about ten days, because the new owner had the cash and the evidence to support it.

So how did that work out then?

When I was on the Trust the Supporters Federation told us that if everything was submitted and in order it would take no more than 4 weeks.

I still can't get my head around why someone based 9in London wants to buy a club in the North West. We're all heard about Turkish barbers and money laundering.. ... :?: :?:

Usually rich owners want football clubs for the glory/publicity, etc because they're actually football fans or because they want the publicity - i.e. it can sometimes be a "cheap" way of getting marketing/publicity, i.e. for stadium naming rights, pitch side advertsing boards, shirt sponsorships etc. But for basically "unknown" businesses and owners with no obvious interest in football, those reasons just don't stack up, so we have to suspect what is the motivation?
