So the fact that that the Trust have helped with the following you choose to berate them and accuse them of being toothless...don't forget they are fans of Morecambe Football Club who have decided to step up and become members of the Trust to try and help guide and support their club through turbulent times...

Keeping our membership up to date with Football Governance Bill, working closely with our local MP Lizzi Collinge

Regular communications with the Board of Directors of Morecambe Football Club, Jason Whittingham (current owner) and the EFL. Keeping our members updated with any information regarding the ongoing sale of the club

The opening of the Memorial Garden

Goal Cam sponsorship

We have dealt with numerous correspondence from members and supported them to resolve any issues they have had

The Legends Wall being reinstated. We will be adding more legends next season

The Trust can only report on what they are told by Jazza, Momi &Co and the Board. So far as direct action goes they can only go along with it if the majority of their members want them to. The vote they had among members regarding NAPM resulted in the majority not even bothering to vote  The Trust can only act on it;'s members wishes. What more do you want them to do??????

Shrimps trust will once again enjoying hospitality which should have been raffled off to the members not the trust board

No joining fee for me this season

The Trust can only act on its members wishes. They arranged the vote on NAPM and the majority of member couldn't either make their mind up or couldn't be bothered to vote  They can only keep the members informed regarding what they are told by Jazza and Co and the Board. If they go further they could end up on a libel charge. What more do you want then to do?

The reason for members not voting like myself and others i know is that its pointless, hence my comment, they are too close to the BOD and not for us
its great that the wall has been done and memorial garden completed but there's more pressing matters that needed attention in my opinion
This isn't an attack on them as I've been vocal in feedback, funny they don't reach out if you dare be critical

Yes the shrimps trust are Toothless, sorry for those who don't agree but many do otherwise there wouldn't be the protest group
Lizzy should be nicknamed Kodak as she's always around for a picture moment

And whilst I'm at it can the trust explain why they chose to wine and dine in hospitality shortly after the first protest?
why was this not put out to all members?
These are questions I have asked and been ignored so I chose to come to the conclusion it was a thank you for not protesting too much from the BOD

Not sure what you actually want from the Trust... :?: :?: :?:

Surely if you want to ask something there are avenues that you can get answers to your questions.

I've found the Trust to be very open especially Tania its Chairperson who is always on hand for you to find out what ever you want.

There are other fans groups who are more secretive..... :?: :?: :?:

Changing the subject slightly
3 people have left the Trust this month
Rich, Hopey and Nathan.
Gonna need more people involved come the AGM

if you complete their information emailed to members and add your details one would expect if they received such comments to act upon them if you were concerned, or if not bothered or don't like to be challenged bury your heads in the sand
Concerning that such people are leaving the trust board at such times, could be that they are also frustrated with the stance of the trust?

I know it's your opinion but I think if you have any issues with them you should contact directly instead of on here

Neil you can't tell people what they can and can't post on a Morecambe fc fans forum.
Not the first time you've done it because you don't like what they are saying.

Give me some examples were I've told fans that they can't post what they like.... :?: :?: :?:

This forum is open to everybody to say what they think about any subject they care to choose.

Let's be honest a lot of the things I post hit a nerve with some folk. Do I take issue.....No...

They like me can say what they like without any bad mouthing from me. There is however one exception.....who shall remain nameless.....

I have red alert
Like I have said they only respond to those who don't object to their relationship with the BOD a bit like this page has become, any difference of opinion and your shot down
Certain people on this page wont have anything said against the board or the trust and will back them 100% without holding responsible for their actions
I don't dispute the trust work hard but doing what? a memorial wall and legends wall will be brilliant if we go bust!!
I don't know neither the trust or the protest group but we were and are sleeping walking into trouble and have been for a while and the protest group sparked some action, the trust have tried to take that praise from the protest group
said chairperson said hardly nothing when Rod did his speech the other week in the JB bar, probably because the risk to not be invited to further functions
I always thought a football team trust spoke for the fans, but these lot don't and it feels like they are learning new political skills from their new friend Lizzy
PS not a new famed fan since League one, I've stood on the terraces for 35 years and care about the club and dont like the way our clubs gone

sorry one more point
I was asked what I expect them to do?, I expect them to speak to proper fans and not the cling on's that surround them blowing smoke up their arses, they might actually learn how a lot of us feel and want them to say being the fans voices,

I think you are wrong BUT you are entitled to your opinion. Credit to you though for using this forum to say what you feel. THAT is what this forum was setup all those years to do exactly what you have done.

We might disagree but we are ALL fans of this excellent club of ours.... :D :D :D

I take issue with you there. The Trust is there to take notice of the Morecambe fans who are members of the Trust. Are you or have you ever been a member of the Trust?

I’m firmly on “Jason out” and who at the Club isn’t? Can any pressure really be put on the owner? Is the NAPM campaign self defeating, not putting your well earned money into the Club, which the Club need, because of our owner, I really don’t know!! I really do have my doubts it will help get rid of him.

But I am joining the NAPM campaign I will not go and watch any home 1st team matches as long as the destroyer Whittingham stays in post.

I don’t want to be thought of that is being unfaithful or thought as someone who is seen helping or pre-longing the decline that has happened since the Club was put up for sale, because for me their is only one person to blame and that’s Whittingham and I don’t see how anyone sees that differently, but there we are!!

I am, as far as I’m concerned, as a fan who will be joining the NAPM campaign if we are not sold in the closed season, as sad as it is that I’ve come that conclusion I’m happy within my self that it is right thing for me.

If Whittingham sells us I will be back. In the meantime I urge anyone that is part or that is considering joining the NAPM campaign either continues going to away games if they can and as an alternative let’s get behind our U18s and go down and support them. Let’s show we are still Morecambe FC fans by supporting the young lads and hopefully in good numbers.

Otherwise:- EACH TO THERE OWN

Today was when it hit home for me about the NAPM campaign.
I've always attended the Trust events and hopefully one day I'll be back supporting everything they do but I won't be attending the Race Night.
For those that go you'll have an fantastic night and I hope they make money for the charity.
If I can I'd donate but can't see any info

I have been a trust member since day one and also contributed towards members discounts and prizes, if they took notice they would deal with the fans who have raised concerns and not ignored them
This will be my last season as a trust member because of this

long time listener first time caller.

there are 5 stages of grief and i can see them all expressed on this forum through various reactions to your situation. sadly, far too many seem in still be in total denial, whilst a few seem to understand the severity of the situaiton. in brief, i dont believe morecambe football club is for sale in any meaningful sense, as others have pointed out this is an income stream for your owner a term which very loosely applies in this case. the prospective owners are simply a ruse to keep the spigot open for as long as possible, no doubt they potentially profit from this understanding in some way.

I read someone complain that the fans feel a few steps behind the shenanigans of this individual, and that he is too clever. this goes back to my first point, most people dont want to see what is going on and cant come to terms with it. when you see the very simple operation in play, as distressing as it is it needs to be countered. I see your situation very similar to chester, and not blackpool which has been mentioned. To that end i really think the trust need to be in contact with chester immediately with concrete plans put in place for starting fresh with a covenent covering usage and ownership of the ground. this isnt to say give up on getting the club back into less dubious hands, but to really get ahead of things and have a plan in place, because, things are at some point going to spiral out of control very quickly and you could end up with no club to support and wondering what happened (WW is all the proof you need and is exactly where you are heading). forcing the issue sooner gives you more of a chance of being able to control the outcome, puts real pressure on the owner and then even if it is a disaster, better to be prepared.

Im not local but live local, have watched morecambe for over 3 decades, and have been really impressed with how the club was run and transitioned into a full time league club, the current situation is a disgrace, it angers me, and the responsibility for it lies directly at the door of the FA, as well as whoever sold the club to this opportunist credit card juggler in the first place. that being said, the club is the fans and you really need to get on top of this because its clear where it is going and has been for some time. Anyway, its easily said i know.

apologies for being so optimistic.

Well how wonderful for you. Your still a liar. No one from the Trust has ever received a single penny for their efforts. You carry on spouting nonsense if it makes you happy.
