Am I being completely foolish to worry. For those on facecloth (FB) search TEL CONSTRUCTION. This firm is solely owned by our beloved proposed new owner (if he succeeds of course). Now look at the reviews which are excellent and 100% positive but look deeper at those who have reviewed this company, check how many friends each has, where they are located and remember this is a London based construction company. People on fb normally have quite a few ‘friends’ and the younger generation especially just accept any bugger and build up the number of friends for some strange reason I’ve never understood but check out these so called reviews. And this from a company who claimed to employ just 9 people at the end of 2023, have assets of almost £1million BUT net assets of just £52000.
I’m trying to see the positives but struggling a little at present

There's nothing about Momi that installs any credibility. We all want rid of Jason, however a sale to this guy could actually be the final nail in the coffin.

Our only hope is that the EFL/FA reject him completely and we can move on to a more credible buyer. I suspect though that Jason and Momi already know what they can and can't get away with, so will continue with the status quo.

I suspect we will hear the next twist in the never ending saga after the early bird season ticket ends.

That's the trouble. They don't seem to ever reject anyone completely but just ask for more information each time. I think we have another summer break worrying whether we'll still have a club at the end of it.

The problem is not the EFL's, its the would be owners. They have been told numerous times what they need to provide and haven't yet done so. Potential owners at other clubs have flown through the process as they have been able to quickly supply what the EFL have asked for.

Exactly this!

I genuinely don't know what is expected of the EFL? They have no power to force an owner to sell their asset, and except for very specific reasons, can't 'ban' someone from buying a club. They can only ask for the appropriate evidence. If the evidence is not provided, then the sale drags on... And on... And on... It isn't up to the EFL to bring the circus to an end. I don't think they have that power.

'Something' remains very peculiar. Only if Whittingham finally decides to accept a sensible offer, from a realistic purchaser, will this ever come to an end.

I don't understand what Momi wants from the club? Why try to buy a club in an area of the country that has no connection to you, that has already been stripped bare? Except for being in construction and the club owning land, but it definitely wouldn't be anything like that...

As the idiot who suggested that a sale would be completed in 2 weeks (following information from a well connected source :( ) even me as a usually optimistic fan have to admit that I'm becoming increasingly doubtful if any sale with the Punjab Warriors was ever creditable the longer it goes on.

Their links with Sarb Capital and their ill fated attempts to purchase our club are worrying.... :!: :!: :!:

Just hope that I'm proved wrong......but links between the current and former potential owners should be of concern to everybody :?: :?: :?:

What has come out of this is that our fanbase has been tested to the maximum and any other club and you would have seen pitch invasions and something along those lines that would have seen us in trouble.
Our fans have done everything asked of them by the club and behaved impeccably.
So anyone questioning boycotting now has to look at the bigger picture.
Years of promises and lies has led to this.
The longest sale in UK football history needs to come to an end now.

Sorry Hodgie but can't agree partially about the lies insinuation.

I totally agree that the current owner has sold a false story to our BoDs but if you are implying that it is our BoDs who have lied...then no... :!: :!: :!: They can only tell us what they have been told which time after time has proved to be totally false.

So yes Jason has repeatably lied.... but our BoDs....No....

I think that we are all as one when collectively we say get out of our club Jason...but will the proposed owner be any different.... :?: :?: :?:

I was referring to Jason but the board has said things that don't add up and sometimes they can be criticised
For instance Graham was totally dismissive of an apparently bid by someone from the USA and said that there wasn't anything in it.(last month)
Roll back to May 2024 and Graham said " The Board urges Bond Group to complete the sale of the club to avoid a catastrophic outside and urged that they accept an offer from USA based potential buyer.
Very confusing isn't it Neal?
I totally feel for our board having to deal with Jason and I'm sure more will come out if he goes.
but it doesn't stop the right for fans to question everything.

I think I'm right that Graham said (last month) that the US guy had not made an offer. That may well be true. There was an American who was interested but I've no idea whether it got as far as him making an offer. I should think that when he was told by Jazza how much he wanted he thought.....stuff that!

The American told the Trust he had made an offer but Jason turned it down.

Looks as though another club is being bought by the Americans namely Cheltenham.

It's becoming more and more obvious that our stay away owner is asking far too much for our club, partially due to the initial bid by the drinks guy who bid way over the value for us and as a result JW expects others to bid something in that ball park.

Dream on.... :!: :!: :!:

I think that was probably his reasoning a year ago but now he's loaned so much to the club that he wants all that back plus his original investment. If he's not careful we'll end up in administration and he'll end up with nothing.

Not bothered what he ends up with, it’s the harm that has been done to the Club once he put it up for sale and how he is taking people for a ride and how prolonging the sale process, either Whittingham or Panjab Warriors will continue to harm the Club, no wonder people are considering stepping off until it is sold.
Those who are carrying on going to watch the team, I hope you watch a successful team, everyone of us deserves to be treated better than we have and those of us who step off I hope we are back soon, preferably for the pre-season.

Shrimps Trust have had a positive meeting with Panjab Warriors but the matter is (according to PW) still with EFL and we cease to be an EFL club on 7 June! One month to complete the hand over or I assume it will all have to start again.

Well done to them but take a look at who their investors are and everyone is a money man with extensive business experience.

Not a single owner but a consortium......

Something we would like to have backing us I suggest, but Jason wants to go for an unknown quantity with connections to a previous failed bidder....

I'm sure that Jason would love to have a similar consortium bidding for us but there isn't a (Christie's) cat in hell's chance of that.

We cease being a EFL Club in June, so that's when if there is going to be a Sale, it should be around then.

Shrimps trust have been on the verge of being useless during this process.
Too close to the BOD, too late to challenge the club, turned the first protest into a peace protest and then only time has been when they jumped on and protested on the back of shrimps protest group and in my opinion tried to take the credit.
It's ok writing improved emails and minutes from meetings but what the fans and trust members want is action

This councillor only seems to turn up when there's a photo opportunity

On the back of this I personally don't see the not a penny more working or could have an impact on the club itself, however this group who by the way hats off to them for at least doing something are at least trying

Shrimps trust will once again enjoying hospitality which should have been raffled off to the members not the trust board

No joining fee for me this season
