O/T Accrington to close its Academy

Wonder if our Academy could face the same closure as we also look to making savings.

Accy sound to be having financial problems not helped by the departure of their main backer although he has guaranteed to put in £250.000 every year but has relinquished his ownership due to actions taken by the local council who have refused retrospective Accy planning permission following a number of issues.

Not just our club facing a crisis, Accy too are in a similar position of no money..... :!: :!: :!:

Accy are in trouble because the council haven't fully backed the new function room that was built. This was a large source of revenue like our function room so a huge loss to the club
Accy I'm sure have lower attendances than ours so always have to cut their cloth accordingly
You would have hoped that the local council would want the investment in the town, if the issue is noise then isn't there 2 pubs on the street next door?

I fear this will happen shortly to our academy given the lost EFL status
